C4C Celebrates Reaching 100 Cities & Counties Committed To Increasing Citizenship Access

The Cities for Citizenship (C4C) nonpartisan national initiative celebrates the milestone of 100 city and county partners. The initiative of cities and counties working to increase citizenship among eligible U.S. permanent residents and to encourage investment in citizenship and financial empowerment programs was co-founded by the National Partnership for New Americans, Citi as the founding corporate partner, and the Center for Popular Democracy in 2014. 

Despite Roadblocks and Imminent Citizenship Fee Increases, Cities & Counties Step up to Help Eligible Immigrants Become U.S. Citizens

On Citizenship Day, Sept. 17, the Cities for Citizenship (C4C) network of 93 cities and counties is promoting citizenship and sharing innovative strategies to help eligible lawful permanent residents naturalize despite the looming citizenship fee increases and other barriers to citizenship, as discussed in their new report, “Priced Out of Citizenship: Municipal Strategies To Reduce the Financial Barriers to US Citizenship In Light of Fee Increases”.
