Melissa Rea is the Grants Manager at the National Partnership for New Americans, bringing over 15 years of experience in nonprofit administration, education, and fundraising roles to her position. Based in Alabama, Melissa’s extensive experience in grants and development has secured funding from diverse sources, from national, private foundations to federal agencies. Melissa has worked directly with immigrant and refugee communities in Florida and Illinois, building advocacy for more inclusive and welcoming neighborhoods and towns through English language learning and cultural sharing.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Florida State University, and graduated with a Master of Science in International Relations from Troy University, concentrating in Global Studies.
