Luis Garza, NPNA’s Legal Services & Capacity Building Manager, was born and raised in Monclova, Mexico, and migrated to the United States in the year 2002. He has worked alongside immigrant communities for close to 15 years around important issues such as workers’ rights, healthcare access, and environmental justice. Before joining NPNA, Luis was the Executive Director of Comunidades Unidas, a Utah-based immigrant rights organization and member of the NPNA network. During his tenure at Comunidades Unidas, Luis led successful community programs and advocacy campaigns to advance the rights and opportunities of immigrants in the state. After almost two decades in Utah, he now lives in Chicago, IL with his partner Ben and their dog Chikis.
