Angélica brings over ten years of experience in accounting and operations in the not-for-profit sector. She immigrated from Guanajuato, México when she was six years old and became a first-generation college graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A former DACA recipient, Angélica is privy to the undocumented student struggle and has remained active in the fight through mentoring and volunteering at DACA clinics. Prior to joining NPNA, Angélica worked at the American Business Immigration Coalition where she helped the organization obtain not-for-profit status, and The Resurrection Project where she was a staff accountant overseeing a homeless shelter’s operations.
