About the National Partnership For New Americans:

The National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) is a national multiethnic, multiracial partnership
network of 41 immigrant and refugee rights organizations who together advocate for policies and
programs to successfully integrate New Americans. NPNA exists to 1) strengthen immigrant and
refugee voices in our nation by building the policy and program capacities of our member organizations,
and 2) pursue policy campaigns with our members at the local, state, and federal level.

Overview:

NPNA seeks an enthusiastic, mission-driven, and experienced Membership Coordinator who will play a
key role in recruiting, building and supporting NPNA members. This person will work closely with NPNA
members to strategically align NPNA campaigns and programs to meet the interests and capacity
building needs of members. Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Membership Coordinator will be
entrusted with ensuring member engagement, strengthening the relationships between members and
the organization, and tracking membership program capacities to identify opportunities and gaps
among other duties. This position is ideal for someone with an organizing background and a
demonstrated interest in multi-ethnic movement building.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

● Build strong relationships between members and NPNA
● Serve as main contact person for all member inquiries, membership applications, and
member on-boarding processes
● Develop and execute successful strategies to orient new members and build member
engagement across NPNA programs and campaigns
● Work in close relationship with members to identify their interests and capacity building
needs
● Work closely with other NPNA staff to continually inform members of services and
benefits of membership; assist with the execution of email and other marketing efforts
● Assist with member communication and recruitment activities that drive attendance at
NPNA events/webinars and increase use of online resources
● Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports to identify program
capacity, gaps, and opportunities
● Help develop a membership database to coordinate and track member engagement
across the organization
● Prepare organizational marketing materials to reflect depth, reach and impact of NPNA
membership
● Collect, analyze, and report member feedback on NPNA programs and events/webinars

● Develop and implement strategies and new resources to engage members in programs
and campaigns
● Coordinate with the Operations Manager to track membership revenue
● Track and summarize policy priorities of member organizations to inform NPNA’s
national and federal advocacy efforts
● Monitor and help to amplify social media activity of member organizations and flag
pertinent items for Programs and Policy teams

 

Qualifications:

● Experience in community organizing and building relationships with a broad set of
organizations within the immigrant and refugee advocacy field
● Has experience developing member engagement and recruitment strategies
● Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks
simultaneously and balance competing priorities
● Takes initiative, demonstrates creativity, personable and has a high level of
professionalism
● Demonstrated writing and editing skills; effective verbal communication skills
● Comfort working independently, as well as part of a team; proactively collaborate with
NPNA staff, members and other stakeholders on relevant projects
● Multicultural competence and comfort with the ability to work with individuals of diverse
backgrounds and to work across differences at all levels
● Language proficiency beyond English is a plus
● Proficiency in Google Workspace is a plus

Compensation:

The salary range is $50,000-$55,000 commensurate with experience. NPNA
offers a generous benefit package that includes health insurance, dental
insurance, and a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with an employer match.
Employees receive 14 paid holidays, 5 sick days, two weeks of paid time off, and
an additional week of paid time off December 25-January 1st.
